Las Vegas, Nevada - Mr Morgan, 44, joked of his ?Sin City? wedding: ?You know what it?s like - you have a few drinks, spend too long on the blackjack table, get over-excited and decide to do something silly. ?I have to say, Paris scrubbed up to be a beautiful bride. It was magical.? However, given The Mail on Sunday columnist?s reputation for self-promotion, it will come as little surprise to discover that the wedding was staged for his forthcoming ITV1 show---...More

Odd News-Las Vegas rolling the dice on its new mob museum

LAS VEGAS - Las Vegas hopes its newest museum will be a hit
The city is opening The (redacted) Museum: The Las Vegas Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, which will showcase southern Nevada's colorful and storied past in organized crime.
The City Council unveiled the name Tuesday, along with logos resembling court documents with material blacked out. The first redaction obscures the word "mob."
"I don't think anybody is able to do tongue-in-cheek the way Las Vegas can do it," said Mayor Oscar Goodman, a former criminal defense lawyer who represented organized crime figures before representing residents in City Hall.
The museum is expected to open in spring 2010 in downtown Las Vegas at the site of the former federal courthouse where Goodman tried his first case.
As city officials unveiled the plans, council members tossed around T-shirts that said: "There is no such thing as a mob museum nor have I ever been there."
"Does this mean the mayor's going to be cleaning out his garage?" joked Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian.
Goodman joked of his possible contributions to the exhibits: "They've been in my backyard trying to dig up some of the old relics, but so far I've fended them off. We'll have a lot of Oscar-abilia in there."
Plans for the museum are supported by the FBI, which has pledged to locate organized crime artifacts in Washington and lend them for displays. The former head of the Las Vegas FBI office, Ellen Knowlton, is chairwoman of the museum's board.
Officials say the museum won't glorify organized crime, but instead will give a candid look at its influence on Las Vegas, how law enforcers worked to extract illegal influences from gambling, how mob operations in cities around the country were connected and famous hearings on organized crime.
The city believes the museum could draw as many as 800,000 visitors each year and is part of an attempt to revitalize downtown Las Vegas.
The mob theme was picked after a poll of 300 tourists showed more than 70 percent ranking the idea among its top three concepts. Other options included a behind-the-scenes look at gambling, a museum on magic or a museum dedicated to Las Vegas icons such as Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.

Stupid News-Britney Spears and her “New Bikini Body

Everyone still loves to see what Britney Spears is doing!
One week after her ex husband Kevin Federline headed to Las Vegas, it was now Britney Spears's turn to hit Sin City this weekend.
Their visits to Vegas, however, couldn't have been more different. While Federline bounced around from several clubs last weekend, Spears's trip was more low-key, consisting mainly of relaxing by the pool and taking in a show over Labor Day weekend.
After arriving via private jet on Saturday night, Spears, 26, headed to her plush room at the Mirage Hotel and Casino's exclusive villas, complete with a private patio and private pool.
On Sunday, rather than staying by her private pool, Spears made her way to Bare Pool where she sipped Fiji bottled water and sunned in the VIP area.
"Her body looked great," an onlooker said. "It looks like she's getting her body back, back to the old Britney."
Staying an hour and a half, Spears texted from her phone and rarely moved from her lounge chair, getting up only to take a quick dip in the pool. Wearing a bikini top and jean shorts, Spears hung out with a group of friends that included her hairstylist Kim Vo.
While Spears basked in the high Vegas heat, a familiar face meandered through the Mirage – her ex boyfriend, photographer Adnan Ghalib. The paparazzo and Spears did not see each other in public though they were within a few yards of each other several times.
After lounging by the pool, Spears made a quick run to Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden and headed to her room for several hours. She later took in Cirque du Soleil's Love show before calling it a night.
The singer, who recently appeared in ads for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards, is rumored to make an appearance on the Sept. 7 show. Spears is nominated for three Moonmen this year – video of the year, best female video and best pop video for "Piece of Me."
Who cares? Well i guess alot of people still have an interest in Britney Spears...

Stupid News - Naked man arrested after hijacking Las Vegas bus
LAS VEGAS - Maybe he lost his shirt at a casino. Police in Las Vegas say they arrested a naked man who stole a beer and then hijacked a bus several miles northeast of the Strip.
A police spokesman says the man fled from a convenience store when an officer arrived to investigate a report of a shoplifter Tuesday.
The man allegedly punched in a back window of a Citizens Area Transit bus, climbed aboard, forced the driver off, drove the bus about 200 yards and then jumped off the moving vehicle.
A police officer climbed aboard the bus and stopped the vehicle.
Police say the man was arrested on felony charges and given clothes and a mental evaluation.

Stupid News - Chicago students seek Obama's haircut, speedy spud, Weird Al
CHICAGO - Dozens of students from the University of Chicago returned Sunday from a four-day multistate trek dubbed the world's largest scavenger hunt after trying to find Barack Obama's haircut and a car horn that plays "La Cucaracha," among other things.
The list of 269 items includes having "a Nobel Prize winner or 'Weird Al' Yankovic witness your organ donor registration" and trying to get "Obama's haircut at Obama's barbershop."
Teams get points for the items they bring back to campus, tasks they complete or questions they answer correctly. The scavenger hunt, in its 22nd year, includes a road trip as far as 1,000 miles from Chicago.
"This allows us to take another kind of brain power and put it into frivolous, trivial but completely enjoyable tasks," said senior David Pisano, 21.
Winners had not been posted as of late Sunday for this year's challenges, which included having "a potato break the sound barrier" and finding "a disgruntled beekeeper."
Some participants headed to Las Vegas in search of celebrities to photograph, while others contemplated weaving a basket underwater, building a working light bulb from scratch, or locating or constructing a bust of Abraham Lincoln made out of pennies.
In 2000, the list called for a live elephant, which students were able to procure for judging.
