Bus driver suspended for praying


ATLANTA, Georgia - An Atlanta bus driver was suspended for insisting his passengers join him in a prayer, his employer says. Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority spokesman Lyle V. Harris said LeRoy Matthews received a five-day furlough after passengers said he stopped his bus and asked all riders to hold hands and take part in a moment of prayer. Bizarre News-Bus driver forced to go to Disney area at gunpoint

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida - Authorities are looking for a man they say forced a tour bus driver at gunpoint to drive to the Downtown Disney area. Orange County sheriff's deputies searched for the suspect at the entertainment and shopping complex Saturday. The man has not been identified. An investigation is ongoing. Authorities say he hid in the restroom of a Mears bus and emerged with a gun. He then forced the driver to drive to the Disney area. Stupid News-School Bus Driver Gets Lost For 5 Hours With Kids

New York - The driver of a school bus that circled Brooklyn for nearly five hours while carrying about a dozen kindergartners and first-graders has been suspended. Authorities say the 53-year-old driver claimed he had gotten lost Wednesday while ferrying the children from the Achievement First Brownsville Charter School to their homes. Parents say their children were shaken by the ordeal that ended when police were called and were finally able to reach the driver.
