
CHARLESTON, West Virginia - The city of Charleston is considering reimbursing a Kanawha City couple for refuse crews hauling away a brand new Maytag dryer that was sitting next to the couple’s home, about 70 feet from the nearest trash bin. Matthew Harrison said his mother had just purchased him and his wife a dryer, which matched the couple’s new washing machine. The Harrisons called the city and asked for their old washing machine to be hauled away. As luck would have it, the crew showed up on the same day the Harrisons brought their new dryer home. Matthew said he had just unloaded the new dryer from the truck and then went looking for someone to help him carry the machine into the basement. When he came back, both the new dryer and the old washer were nowhere to be found.....More
