Swearers face $100 fine

Australia - Swearing in public could become a major money spinner for the Queensland Government with $100 fines to be issued for the offence along with $300 for public urination and other disorderly offences. A 12-month trial of ticketing for public nuisance offences has found issuing a fine was more cost-effective and freed up both the courts and police.
